Vinfinity, Inc.
This policy explains what information Vinfinity, Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We keep our data practices deliberately narrow: we collect only what we need to operate our business and respond to the people who contact us, and we do not sell personal information.
Information we collect
We collect information in three situations, and only in these situations:
- When you contact us directly. If you call, text, message, or email us, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, phone number, email address, and the contents of your communication, so that we can respond and assist you.
- When you use our website. Our web server logs standard technical information, such as IP address and browser type, for security and basic operation. If you leave a comment, we collect the details you enter in the comment form along with your IP address and browser string to help detect spam.
- When you become a client. In the course of providing services, we collect the information necessary to perform that work and meet our legal and contractual obligations.
We do not purchase, rent, or import contact lists, and we do not build profiles on people who have not contacted us.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to respond to inquiries, deliver and coordinate our services, communicate with clients and prospective clients who have reached out to us, maintain the security of our systems, and comply with legal obligations. We do not use personal information for third-party advertising.
Mobile information and text messaging
All text messaging we conduct is recipient-initiated. A messaging conversation begins only when you choose to text one of our published business phone numbers first, either after responding to an advertisement that lists the number or after speaking with us by phone or Facebook Messenger. We do not send unsolicited or marketing text messages, and we do not purchase, rent, or import phone numbers.
When you text us, we collect your mobile phone number and the contents of your messages so that we can reply to your inquiry within that conversation. Our replies are responsive and service-oriented.
No mobile information, including phone numbers and the contents of text conversations, is sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers are not shared with third parties for their own marketing under any circumstances.
You can stop receiving text messages from us at any time by replying STOP to any message; reply HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply. For a full description of how our text messaging works, see our SMS Messaging Policy.
Cookies
If you leave a comment, you may opt in to having your name, email address, and website saved in cookies for your convenience, so you do not have to re-enter them next time. These last one year. If you have an account and log in, we set temporary cookies to confirm your browser accepts cookies and additional cookies to remember your login and display preferences; login cookies last two days, or two weeks if you select “Remember Me,” and display-preference cookies last one year. Logging out removes the login cookies.
Embedded content from other sites
Pages on this site may include embedded content such as videos or images. Embedded content from other websites behaves as though you visited that other website directly, which means those sites may collect data about you, set cookies, embed additional tracking, and monitor your interaction with that content. We do not control the privacy practices of those third-party sites.
Who we share information with
We do not sell personal information. We share information only where necessary to operate, for example with service providers who help us run our systems and communications, or where we are required to do so by law. As noted above, mobile phone numbers and text-message contents are never shared with third parties for marketing. If you request a password reset on this site, your IP address is included in the reset email.
How long we keep information
We retain information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain our business records, and meet legal obligations. Website comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically. If you have a user account, the information in your profile is stored until the account is removed.
Your rights
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request an exported copy of the personal data we hold about you, and you can request that we erase it. Erasure does not extend to information we are required to keep for administrative, legal, or security reasons. To make a request, or to ask any question about your information, contact us using the details below.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date below. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
